Customer Service Associate — Full-time

Job Description

At Vancity Car Rentals we're looking for a dedicated Customer Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will seamlessly assist customers in selecting and renting vehicles, handle inquiries professionally and collaborate closely with our fleet and maintenance teams. Proficiency in computer systems and a strong ability to communicate are essential. Prior experience in customer service, especially within the car rental sector, is highly desirable. A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will excel in customer service and perform the following duties, not limited to:

  • Greet customers upon their arrival at the rental location and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate vehicle based on their needs and preferences.
  • Complete rental agreements and process payments, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Coordinate with the fleet team to ensure vehicles are ready for customers – clean, fueled, and in good condition.
  • Check vehicles for damage before and after rentals, documenting any issues and communicating with the fleet team.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or GED. College degree is a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations while maintaining good customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Ability to communicate in other languages is a plus.
